Microsoft Cloud Price Increase is due to take effect from 1st of April 2023.

Microsoft have announced that they will be increasing the price of their cloud services by 9% in the United Kingdom from the 1st of April, 2023 across their cloud services. This change comes because of an update to Microsoft’s local currency pricing policy, which was first announced in November of 2022.

What will be impacted?

This increase will affect all Microsoft cloud services, including Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365.

Reason for the increase.

Microsoft have announced that this is one of several steps they are taking to align the pricing of their cloud products globally, so customers will have consistent pricing reflecting the exchange rate of the local currency to the US dollar.

Do the benefits of Microsoft outweigh the cost?

When considering the impact of the cost increase, it is worth reviewing the benefits it beings to small and big businesses alike. Benefits such as:

  • Simple licensing model providing scalability and flexibility.
  • Enhanced productivity that reduces both IT infrastructure and administrative costs.
  • Full security and control, tailored to you and the size of your business cloud.

There is still time to avoid the price increase.

If you are on month-to-month pricing or are due for renewal before 1st April 2023, you can avoid the price increase for up to a year.

All you need to do is renew or commit to 12 months before the 31st March 2023.
